Cat Face Makeup Ideas For Kids

From simple to complex, there are several cat face makeup ideas for children.

Dressing up as a cat is easy and inexpensive, which makes it a good costume choice for kids. The main part of the costume is the makeup design on the face, and there is a large selection of cat face makeup ideas. From a very simple design to one that is much more elaborate, there are quite a few options that kids will love, whether they want to wear a lot of face makeup or very little.

Minimalistic Cat

Put a circle of black face makeup on the very tip of the nose and line the eyes on the top and bottom with dark black eyeliner. Draw a few whiskers across the cheeks as well. This is an optimal choice for children that have skin sensitivity to wearing heavy makeup or those who simply don't want to wear a lot of makeup.

Basic House Cat

Put white makeup on the entire upper lip, as well as around the eyes from the base of the eye sockets up to the eyebrows. Line the eyes and lips in black and do a small upward facing curve that starts at the edges of the mouth. Use the black liner to draw three or four whisker lines starting from the upper lip. Color the tip of the nose black, then fill in the lips with black lipstick.

Full Face House Cat

Cover the entire face with a light layer of white makeup, but make the makeup on the upper lip and around the eyes a little heavier. Apply light gray makeup over the face except for around the eyes, on the upper lip and from the middle of the forehead down to nostrils. Use a charcoal gray liner to make small dots on the upper lip. Use black liner to draw whiskers starting from the small dots, then line the lips and eyes. Fill the lips in with black lipstick, then color the tip of the nose black. If your child has a cat, another option is to do the design to match the design on the cat's face.

Bright Wild Cat

Place white makeup on the upper lip and around the eyes, then line the eyes and lips in black. Cover the entire face with bright makeup in your child's favorite color; avoid the spots covered with white makeup. Fill the lips in with a complementary color of lipstick. For example, use bright pink face makeup and blue lipstick. Use black liner to color in the eyebrows, make lines alongside the nose, color the tip of the nose, make small dots on the upper lip and draw whiskers across the cheeks. Using a picture of a tiger as a guide, draw black tiger stripes across the cheeks and forehead.

Realistic Wild Cat

Using white face makeup, cover the area from the cheekbones to the jawline, the upper lip to the bottom of the chin and from the bottom part of the eye sockets straight up to the middle of the forehead. Next, mix together brown and orange face makeup. Start applying it from the nose to the areas with no white makeup, and as you work your way to the hairline, continuously make it lighter by mixing it with a very small dot of white makeup every few inches. Use a small makeup brush to blend the edges of the makeup with the white makeup. Using a black liner, draw a line around the base of the nostrils and along the sides of the nose, outline the tip of the nose, draw multiple rows of small black dots on the upper lip, and outline the eyes. Also, extend the line on the outside corners of the eyes halfway to the end of the eyebrow, and fill in the indentations between the inside corners of the eyes and the bridge of the nose. Fill in the tip of the nose with a mix of orange, brown and very light pink makeup. Finally, draw tiger stripes across the face, using a tiger picture as a guide. This is an especially good face design for children who are big fans of tigers.
