Search for discount show tickets before traveling to Las Vegas.
A little preplanning and investigation can yield discount show tickets in Las Vegas. This vibrant Nevada city hosts dozens of shows throughout the week to entertain travelers and residents. Ticket prices for Las Vegas shows range from $30 to $200. Entertainment in Las Vegas ranges from Broadway-caliber productions, concerts, one-of-a-kind productions, comedy and magic show and more, according to the Las Vegas Tourism Bureau. With more than 31 million visitors to Las Vegas in 2010, finding show tickets in advance is key to scoring discounts. However, discount tickets are not always available for every show. Popular or limited performance shows may not have discount options, but continuing shows could have discounted tickets on a regular basis.
Instructions
1. Call the entertainment venue or hotel where the show takes place to inquire about discount show tickets or check on its website. Ask the hotel whether it offers a ticket package with a reservation or advice on acquiring discounted tickets. Ask whether that hotels offers ticket discounts to shows at other venues. For example, the Bellagio website occasionally offers discounts on tickets for the "O" Cirque du Soleil show, which is performed at the Bellagio.
2. Make reservations for show tickets in advance. Tickets for same-day performances could be more expensive than the tickets reserved in advance or online. Some venues allow advance show reservations up to 90 days in advance.
3. Review a Las Vegas convention calendar and city event calendar to find out whether large conventions or events will be taking place in the city during your visit (see Resources) and where the convention would be held. Discount tickets might be harder to find if a large convention or event is taking place concurrently.
