Draw A Clown Fish

Draw a Clown Fish

Clown fish are the colorful orange and white fish made famous in the animated movie "Finding Nemo." Clownfish come in other colors such as yellow, red or black; but the orange clownfish are the most popular. Clownfish are also called anemonefish because they live among sea anemones. These little fish are fun to draw and are easy enough for upper elementary school classes to master with a bit of practice.

Instructions

1. Draw an oval. Make the oval larger on the right side and slant the oval upward slightly.

2. Erase small sections of the top and bottom of the oval where you plan to place the dorsal fins and the bottom fins. Add squared oval dorsal fins to the top of the oval.

3. Draw the clownfish's two bottom fins and its tail.

4. Draw an eye for the clownfish and add an "eyebrow."

5. Draw a smile onto your clownfish, unless you want the fish to appear angry or sad.

6. Draw a rounded square fin on the side of the clownfish's body.

7. Draw three stripes onto the clownfish. Place one beside its eye, one from the top dorsal fin and one on its tail.

8. Outline the clownfish using a fine, felt-tipped black marker.

9. Color the clownfish orange, with the exception of the stripes. Leave those white.
