Everyone wants to have a cool background image for their desktop or webpage. One that gives the illusion of 3D is an example of this. Normally, you would just go to a website and download a free one. But if you want to have something really unique to you, create your own. This is quickly accomplished using Photoshop.
Instructions
1. Open Photoshop. Select "File" and click "New." In the dialog box that opens, make the pixel width and height the same as you desktop or webpage. Make the resolution 72, and click "OK."
2. Select "Filter", then "Render" and click "Clouds." Next go to "Filter", then "Pixelate" and click "Mezzotint." In the dialog, select "Short Lines" and click "OK."
3. Select "Filter", then "Blur", and click "Radial Blur." In the dialog, select "Zoom" and "Best", and then click "OK."
4. Select "Filter", then "Stylize" and click "Extrude." Make the "Size" 20 and the "Depth" 40, and click "OK."
5. Select "Image", then "Adjustments" and click "Hue/Saturation." Click on "Colorize" and play with the sliders until the effect is the color you want.
