Da Vinci Code Da Game Strategy Guide

The game "The Da Vinci Code" was developed by The Collective Inc. (now known as Double Helix) and published by 2K Games in 2006 for the personal computer, and in 2007 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This game is based on the novel "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. You follow the events in the book in order to find the Holy Grail before the "Hand of God" can permanently stop you.

Know Your Inventory

On each mission, you start with a random assortment of items that are vital to solving your upcoming puzzles. Your inventory does not carry over from mission to mission, so don't worry about saving items for later. Also, your inventory will be slightly different each time you play a mission (even if you've already completed it). Don't panic because you will always have enough items to solve the puzzles ahead. Be sure to test each of your inventory items, which you can accomplish by dragging items on top of each other and seeing what happens. In order for this to be successful, you will often need to find an additional item to pair with those already in your inventory.

Cheat Codes

When you pause the game using the "start" button, there is an option to enter special codes. Codes mean cheats, and there are a lot of them that will make completing this game significantly easier, especially during combat sequences. From the codes menu, enter the secret word or phrase then hit "start" again. Here is a list of some of the more useful ones: Vitruvian Man (invincibility), Sacred Feminine (more health), Clos Luce 1519 (level select), and Royal Holloway (powerful weapons). If you use these codes, you might not be able to earn trophies or achievements on some systems.

Rosslyn Chapel

You begin the Rosslyn Chapel level by controlling Sophie instead of your usual character. Sophie is the only person capable of retrieving Da Vinci's Codex Atlanticus, one of the hardest items to find in the game. The Codex is underneath the library, but to get there you have to solve a puzzle first. There is a picture puzzle where you must move the pieces in order to create the image of a hand, holding a dove, with stars in the background. The two hand pieces go in the center, with the other 10 pieces forming the outer edges of the puzzle. Once you have solved the puzzle, move the lever to get under the library.
