Retouch Studio Photos Using Photoshop

Many photography studios offer photo retouching for a fee. This retouching typically includes removing pimples, dark circles under the eyes, moles, freckles and other imperfections in the skin. If you have Photoshop--a popular photo editing software created by Adobe--you can save yourself a few bucks and remove minor skin imperfections yourself.

Instructions

1. Scan the images into your computer. If you have access to the digital images use them instead of scanning.

2. Navigate to your Photoshop program and double-click so the program loads.

3. Click on "File" located in the upper left-hand corner of the Photoshop screen. Click "Open" and navigate to the area on your computer where you have the studio images saved. Open the images and allow them to load in the Photoshop screen.

4. Click on the healing brush tool. The healing brush tool is located on the left-hand side of the screen. It is typically the seventh tool down. The healing brush will allow you to remove minor skin imperfections such as dark circles and pimples.

5. Navigate the mouse pointer to the area of the skin that is clean. Hold the "ALT" button down and left-mouse click the clean skin area. You have now defined the source point that will be used to correct the problem areas.

6. Move the mouse pointer over the problem areas and click the left mouse button to clean up the imperfections. Continue in this manner until you have achieved the desired results.

7. Click on "Image" located in the upper left section of the Photoshop screen. Choose "Adjustments" and then click "Auto Levels." This will automatically fix minor coloring and contrast problems.

8. Navigate your mouse to "File" and click "Save." Save the image in the desired location with the desired name.
