Act Like A Chav

"

Chav" is a British acronym describing a type of person. It stands for "Council House and Violence." Although it is a stereotypical term, it is one that has had increased popularity in the UK in the past three or so years. Here are some ways to emulate popular "chav" style behaviors (the term is usually not used in a favorable light).

Instructions

Act Like a Chav!

1. Wear track suits! A typical example of chav attire are sports suits, often by brands like Juicy Couture. The track suit is perhaps the most important element to a proper chav outfit.

2. Wear pseudo-designer goods. Chavs are often seen sporting fake "bling" jewelry and carrying fake Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, and Coach bags. To dress like a chav is to dress in a flashy manner, so the more "bling" and accessories, the better!

3. Listen to rap, hip hop, and R&B. The typical chav music is hip hop (loud and blaring), and they often like to dress like their favorite hip hop stars in order to perfect this look.

4. Start fights with people in public places! Chavs are known for causing disruptions in public places. Usually, their victims are random. Harassing elderly women in parks by mugging them, getting drunk at the local park in the middle of the day, trying to trick innocent people into purchasing alcohol for them--these are all negative stereotypical chav behaviors!

5. Carry a boom box with you at all times. As mentioned before, chavs love listening to hip hop music. As a result of that, they like making everyone else hear that music as well. A chav is often spotted carrying a boom box by his or her ear with the volume up on full blast. This type of boom box blasting behavior often happens in public places, like buses or trains.
