Located just two hours south of Atlanta, the city of Columbus, Georgia, is the home of Columbus State University, Fort Benning and The Log Cabin---Muscogee County's oldest structure, according to DiscoverOurTown.com. Columbus offers a good variety of entertainment and nightlife options for tourists---especially in the Uptown district, an area that stretches along the Chattahoochee River and houses art galleries, pubs, shopping, restaurants and more. Comedy club selections, however, are virtually nonexistent, but the venues that do offer comedy shows host some of the biggest names in show business.
