The River Center for the Arts is in the Uptown Columbus area, the heart of the city's arts and entertainment district. A huge venue covering 245,000 square feet and featuring three performance halls, it serves as the home of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. The center's largest hall, The Bill Heard Theatre, opened in 2002 and has since hosted a variety of entertainers, including comedian Bill Cosby.
