Planters and pots are crucial for many people living in apartments, condominiums and townhouses who are unable to plant a traditional garden. Clay and plastic planters both have advantages and disadvantages that the container gardener should consider.
Weight
Clay planters are heavier than plastic ones. Plastic pots are good for plants you may need to move often, but clay pots may be required to counter the weight of top-heavy plants.
