Fall Paint Colors

Fall paint can be inspired by nature itself.

When the leaves turn color and the days get shorter, autumn and all its warm colors are in full effect. Fall paint is inspired by nature itself with inspiration from apples, pumpkins and falling leaves. These warm colors can be used to bring together any room, whether on a piece of furniture, trim or even an entire room.

Orange

Orange is inspired by the pumpkins and squash that are prominent during the autumn season. A pale brownish orange might resemble the muted and warm color of squash. This color can be painted in an entire room or just as a darker accent wall. A piece of prominent furniture can also be painted this color. A bright orange that is similar to the color of an actual pumpkin can be painted on an accent wall or a ceiling and the rest of the walls can be painted beige. The orange color can be watered down and used to paint an entire room as a wash to make it look warmly faded.

Red

A deep red color can be inspired by apples growing, falling leaves or maple leaves. Paint an accent wall a deep red and accent the rest of the room with golds, light browns and beige. Or, take a red color and paint a chandelier to make it an accent in the room it's in. You can also use a red or burgundy color to paint the trim of a room to offset the ceiling.

Brown

Paint one wall a chocolate brown color and accent the room with deep reds and light wood colors to warm up the room. Or, paint the walls in a light brown and accent with dark brown furniture, and accent with red and gold colors for a luxurious feel.

Yellow and Gold

Inspired by the leaves that fall during autumn, the color yellow can lighten up a room and also keep it warm. Paint an entire room in a golden rod color and accent with chocolate brown furniture, and use accents of deep red to achieve a full autumn effect. Or, paint an accent wall in a deep yellow, almost gold, color. Place red or beige furniture near the wall to offset it.
