How Get My Toddler Started In Modeling

Child modeling is very competitive

Many successful models began their careers when they were toddlers or even younger. Modeling agencies hire children as young as a few months old, but you should carefully consider the best age to get your child into modeling. If you've decided your toddler is ready for modeling, you will need a well thought out game plan to ensure that your toddler has a realistic chance of breaking into the business.

Instructions

1. Make sure you live in or near one of the major modeling cities. This is necessary because the more jobs that are available, the more likely your toddler will find jobs. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami are four cities where modeling jobs are readily found.

2. Make contact with modeling agencies that specialize in child modeling. Inquire about what you need to do to get your toddler into modeling. You will have to bring your child in for an evaluation.

3. Explore the agencies you feel most comfortable with and which you feel give your toddler the best chance to break into a very competitive business.

4. Construct a photo portfolio for your toddler. Have a professional photographer take quality shots of your toddler; 10-20 varied photos should be sufficient.

5. Prepare your child for the inevitable slew of meetings he will have with prospective clients. Modeling is hard work and your child will need to meet with many people in order to secure potential jobs.

6. Carefully consider contract offers your toddler has received. Make sure you understand and agree with the fees the agency charges.
