Instructions
1. Know the scene. Most kids are on top of this one, or at least think they are. Part of knowing the scene is having someone who can put that just right spin on it. You want a person who can point out the cool side of the Kidz Bop dance scene, but who can also bring some reality to the view. Beware, there will always be those who are simply looking for someone to rip off.
2. Pick up on the moves: Any up and coming Kidz Bop dancer will need t know the best and brightest moves out there. Pay attention to who’s hot and what their particular move is.
3. Experiment with your own moves. Original choreography that's prepared and ready to go will do wonders at a dance audition. You'll be one step ahead of the game.
4. Do an online video. Submit a video of you doing the dance moves to the various on-line sites. There are numerous sites on the web. Simply pick out your music and choreograph your steps. Have some record your moves. All that's left is editing, uploading and submitting. You can really gain both attention and applause this way.
5. Attend a try out: Depending on where you live, you might want to consider an on-site try out. These are usually held in larger cities and can be found on the internet. Get there early because you should anticipate that the line will be long. Eventually, producers will have to cut out how many can attend the audition.
6. Get an agent: This can be tricky. You really need to watch for rip-off artists. Those who promise the world but deliver nothing. A good agent will be realistic and only accept a percentage of your salary as a dancer as payment.
7. Develop a network. One of the real strengths of kids in this age group is their ability to know what’s happening and where it’s happening. Keep in the know.
