Draw 3d Street Art

Artist use chalk to create street art.


Street artist use a variety of mediums to create their art. The most popular being spray paint, markers and chalk. The amount of chalk, markers or paint that it takes to create an artwork depends on the surface. Drawing done on a sidewalk surface will use less of a medium than the surface of a road. The popularity of street artist has moved to the mainstream and has caught the attention of advertisers. Artists give their works a 3D appearance by adding light and shade.


Instructions


1. Find a location for the artwork. The less traffic, such as a sidewalk, the easier it will be to complete your work.


2. Determined a viewpoint, which is easy to access during the entire process of the drawing. Perspective is important; think about who your viewers are such as people walking on the sidewalk or people driving in a car.


3. Create an outline for the art such as a circle for a ball or a square to represent a container for a pond.


4. Add details to the drawing such as lettering for the ball or fish and lilies for a pond.


5. Color in the artwork, blending in the colors with your hand. Wearing a glove helps. Start with mid-tones colors and work in the dark and light on top.


6. Determine the light source and add shading to create depth and a 3D appearance. Have the areas in the light a light color and areas in the shade a darker value of the color.
