Buy Acrylic Paint

Acrylic paints are fast-drying, water-based paints. They can be diluted with water, and can be used to create paintings that look similar to watercolor or oil paintings. When buying an acrylic paint, there are just a few things to keep in mind. Once you know what you need, there are many places to buy these paints. You can then experiment and use your creativity as much as you want to make colorful, vivid paintings.

Instructions

1. Determine what kind of paint you will need to create your masterpiece. Acrylic paint dries very quickly, so keep that in mind at all times when painting.

2. Decide on the thickness of the paint. Acrylic paints are available in liquid form as well as with a paste- or butter-like consistency. The kind of consistency may affect they way you paint, and you may find you are more comfortable with one or more kinds. The paints can also be bought in canister or tube form.

3. Decide on the type of paint to purchase. For beginners, student-grade paint is less expensive, but is fine for experimenting while you learn. Many different brands are available, some which offer unique sets of consistencies and/or colors.

4. Determine which colors you will need. Many variations are available, but you can mix any color you need using blue, red and yellow.

5. Purchase your acrylic paint at any number of online retailers or at any local art supply store.
