Enter Kids' Pictures Into Modeling

If your child loves dressing up and having her photograph, she might enjoy being a child model.

Some children just love hamming it up for the camera and being the star of the show. If your child falls into this category, he might be able to put his love for the camera to good use, and make some money while doing it. If you are looking to get your child's photo noticed by modeling agencies in your area, you need to be willing to submit your photos to several agencies and contests, and spend the time required to get your child noticed.

Instructions

1. Take your child to a professional photographer to take head-shots of your child. Don't put a lot of makeup on your child, and make sure the photograph contains only the child who is applying for the modeling position.

2. Apply for a work permit for your child if required by law in your state. If you live in California, you will also need to set up a Coogan bank account.

3. Submit your photographs to local modeling agencies either by e-mail, mail or in person. Most major agencies have a section on their website where you can submit your child's information and attach a photograph. If this does not exist, follow the mailing directions or submit the photo in person at their office.

4. Enter your child's photograph in online photo contests or online modeling contests to have his picture noticed.

5. Take your child to a casting call for child models. At the casting call, an agency will take your child's photograph and store it in a database for future reference. This saves you from having to pay for the photographs yourself.
