Draw Elf Faces

Drawing an elf is not hard.

The mythological figure of an elf is one of the most popular subjects to draw. Elf faces alone are easy to sketch. With some artistic talent, patience, familiarity with the typical look of elves and the right tools, you can draw your own elf faces.

Instructions

1. Open your sketch book to a clean sheet of paper and, with a pencil, draw the head in an oval/egg shape. Draw a light straight vertical line in the middle of the oval afterward.

2. Draw large eyes halfway down the oval/head. Draw exaggerated eyelashes, as elves generally have very large, expressive eyes. Add in arched eyebrows above. Also, draw two dots down lower, in the middle, for the nostrils. You don't have to add much more for the nose, but you can lightly sketch the sides around the nostrils for added detail.

3. Draw the mouth next, making a bow-like shape for the upper lip, and a full lower lip.

4. Sketch the ears on either side of the middle of the oval/head. Make the tops of them pointy, with a slight curve. You can make them tiny, or you can make the pointed part elongated.

5. Add the hair in a sweeping style, allowing the ears to show over it. Continue filling in detail in any facial feature as needed.
