Ballet and photography are just two of the disciplines that can be the focus of art scholarships.
Art merit scholarships award money for continuing education in the arts based on an evaluation of the applicant's work. Scholarships are available to those in the traditional fine arts--painting, drawing, sculpture and photography--as well as performance arts, such as dance, music and acting.
