Create A Transparent Spray Paint Image In Source Games

In many multi-player video games a player is allowed to mark her territory by spraying her logo for other players to see. These images are unique for each player. Making your own image is fun and enhances your game play. Read on to learn create a transparent spray image in source games.


Instructions


1. Visit the website Gimp and download the Gimp image software. Once Gimp is downloaded, install the program on your computer. Accept the user agreement and complete the installation.


2. Click on "New Image" and set the size to 256 x 256 pixels. Click on "Transparency" next to "Fill With." This sets the background to clear.


3. Create your logo however you like. If the image is too large, click on the edge and move the mouse inward to shrink the logo. Pull the mouse outward if it is to small. In Gimp you can import a picture into another file, add text and edit the image.


4. Save the image as a "tga" file. It does not matter where you save the file, just take note of the file's location.


5. Start the game. Find the"Options" menu on the game's main page. If the game lets you use sprays there will be a place in the menu to import sprays. Click "Import Sprays" and browse for your spray.


6. Click "OK" when you find your spray. Read spray the spray and then close the "Options" menu.
